Skills for Intercultural Training (in English) Switzerland

A three-day workshop designed for experienced trainers from fields such as language training, communication skills training and management training, who wish to learn more about the theory and practice of intercultural training.
This workshop helps you to integrate intercultural topics into training and also to design and run your own intercultural training courses.
Workshop Description:
Knowledge and awareness of intercultural issues are increasingly important when giving training to international groups, or when training people to work more effectively in the international field. In this workshop, you will review some of the key concepts in the intercultural field through a series of lively exercises and activities. You will then apply what you have learned to the design of courses for different types of intercultural training, such as working in multicultural teams, as well
as considering how to enrich your current areas of training. The workshop also provides a good base for the workshop "Interactive Training Strategies" by Thiagi (June 30 - July 2 2008).

By the end of the course, participants will:
- have a good understanding of the key conceptual frameworks of the intercultural field
- have ideas and skills for incorporating intercultural elements into their own areas of training
- be familiar with the main types of intercultural training
- be able to design different types of intercultural training courses
- be familiar with different training techniques, activities and materials for intercultural training
